Tom Lynch and Steven May will Co-Captain Gold Coast For The 2017 AFL Season

Gold Coast have announced forward Tom Lynch and defender Steven May will be co-captain for the upcoming 2017 season.

This comes after former captain Gary Ablett stepped down from the role after being skipper for 6 seasons.

Both Lynch and May did have a taste in this role with both players rotating as acting captains when Ablett was out last season after shoulder surgery.

Tom Lynch has been in the leadership group since the start of the 2014 season while Steven May joined the leadership group from the 2015 season.

This should be a nice change for the Suns and with Lynch and May both 24, they are more experienced (102 games for Lynch, 88 games for May) and more than capable to lead Gold Coast into the future.
