Midfielder Jack Ziebell will be the North Melbourne captain for next season after Andrew Swallow stepped down as skipper after 5 years.
The 25 year old has played 147 games since making his debut in 2009 and was touted early in his career at the Kangaroos to be a future captain.
He moved into the leadership group when he was just 21 years old in 2012.
It seemed an obvious choice to pick Ziebell as captain as he has shown great leadership on and off the field for this club.
Now it is time for Ziebell to lead a younger North Melbourne side into a new era where in the next few years they can challenge for a premiership.
