North Melbourne’s Daniel Wells has signed a 3 year deal with Collingwood, believed to be worth around $1.8million.
As he was a free agent, North Melbourne were able to gain a second round pick for compensation which is currently pick 32.
Wells 31, has played 243 games for North Melbourne after he was drafted at pick 2 in the 2002 AFL draft.
He has proven to be an important member of the Kangaroos side when he has been fit but over the years, had injuries that stopped him from playing more matches.
He has all the makings of a great free agent signing for Collingwood but given his age and previous injuries, it is rather risky especially on the money he will be on.
If they can get the best out of Wells then the money will be well spent.
