2016 AFL Trade Day 2 Summary

Here is a summary of what happened on day 2 of the 2016 AFL Trade Period.

  • Daniel Wells signed for Collingwood on a 3 year deal worth to be around $600,000 a season
  • Fremantle got their man in Cam McCarthy for pick 3 in exchange for picks 7,33,71 with GWS
  • GWS former top 10 pick Jarrod Pickett has requested a trade to Carlton
  • Fellow GWS player Paul Ahern has met with North Melbourne
  • Western Bulldogs Koby Stevens has created interest from Essendon and St Kilda
  • Geelong’s Josh Caddy could be the key in getting Richmond’s Brett Deledio to the Cats
  • Hawthorn’s Luke Bruest will not be used as trade bait for signing Gold Coast’s Jaeger O’Meara
  • West Coast’s Jack Darling is off the table after the club denied he was up for trade
  • Port Adelaide’s Brendan Ah Chee has reportedly requested to leave the Power for more opportunity elsewhere
  • Carlton would like to have Adelaide’s Charlie Cameron in with the deal for Bryce Gibbs
  • Carlton want a player, not a draft pick for Carlton’s Zach Touhy to add some depth to their squad
  • Sydney’s Dean Towers could re-sign with the Swans as he is in discussion with the club
