There has been speculation that Adelaide midfielder Jarryd Lyons is looking for a move away after the contract he was recently offered were described as “embarrassing” according to News Corp.
Lyons’ contract expires at the end of this season and possibly many Melbourne based clubs are looking to get him as he is from Victoria.
It is not certain that he will leave the club and could well stay for next year but at the moment, he is looking for a better contract deal and probably won’t know until after the Crow’s finals campaign is done.
Lyons has averaged 22 possession in 18 games in a breakout season which includes at least 20 or more possessions in his last 9 games and 14 goals.
He cemented his spot in the best 22 since round 9 and has played great football which has sparked a demand for a better contract. It will be interesting to see if Adelaide will agree to his demands or allow him to leave.
