Novak Djokovic Wins French Open To Complete Career Grand Slam

World number 1 Novak Djokovic has won his first French Open title after defeating Andy Murray in 4 sets. Djokovic lost the first set to Murray 3-6 but bounced to win the next 3 sets 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 to claim his first career Grand Slam.

The French Open has not been the best hunting ground for Djokovic as he had lost his past 3 French Open finals (2012 and 2014 to Rafael Nadal and 2015 to Stan Wawrinka). Entering his fourth final, it looked like he was going to lose again after the first set but was able to come back and finally break the duck.

Djokovic has now won 12 Grand Slam titles while Andy Murray has a record of 2-8 in Grand Slam finals with those wins coming in the 2012 US Open and 2013 Wimbledon.

Djokovic will be celebrating his win and then will next defend his Wimbledon title which begins on June 27.
