SQUAD: Shahid Afridi (capt), Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Babar Azam, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Khurram Manzoor, Rumman Raees.
Usually competitive and explosive in the shorter forms of the game, we can expect a Pakistan outfit driven to deliver a spectacle, it just depends on which Pakistan shows up.
Lead by the enigmatic and ever volatile Shahid Afridi, Pakistan will be reliant upon the likes of Hafeez, Malik, Sarfraz and Iftikhar Ahmed and Riaz to make the competitive totals and kick start the run chases early. Their bowling will be lead by Mohammad Amir, Raees and Irfan, with Afridi and Hafeez offering sound support in the spinning department.
Accustomed to such sub-continent conditions, Pakistan will always pose a threat, with the ability to take wickets at opportune moments, they can pose a threat to anybody. However, I don’t see that happening, they win a few games in the group and lose out in the knockout stages.
